千里の道も一歩から

12月に入り、「師走」の名にふさわしく、世間や街が慌ただしく動いています。このような環境の影響か、自分自身の心もどこか急かされてしまい、なかなか進まない案件に対して焦りを感じることがあります。

そんな時、私は「過去の偉人たち」を思い出します。誰もが最初から大きなことを成し遂げたわけではありません。小さな一歩から始め、時間をかけて周囲の協力や理解を得ながら、大きな事業へと育て上げてきたのです。この事実を再確認することで、自分の心を落ち着かせるようにしています。

例えば、今や世界を代表する企業となったAppleも、創業当初は2人のスティーブがガレージで始めた小さな会社でした。当時の姿を見て、数十年後にここまで成長するとは、誰も想像できなかったでしょう。もしかすると、スティーブたち自身も、ここまで世界を変える企業になるとは思っていなかったかもしれません。

何事も焦らず、小さなことから丁寧に進めていくことが、ビジネスにおいて非常に重要で大切だと感じます。師走の忙しい時期だからこそ、基本に立ち返り、焦らず着実に進める姿勢を思い出したいものです。これは、TOMONO Worksが大切にしている「焦らず、小さなことから、できるところから始めてみよう」という精神の礎にもなっています。

As December begins, the city and society are bustling, truly living up to the name “Shiwasu” (the busy end-of-year season in Japan). Perhaps influenced by this environment, I sometimes find myself feeling rushed and anxious about projects that are not progressing as quickly as I would like.

At times like these, I remind myself of the great figures of the past. No one achieved great things from the very beginning. They all started with small steps, gradually building up their achievements over time with the support and understanding of those around them. Reaffirming this fact helps me regain my composure.

For example, Apple, now one of the world’s leading companies, began as a small business started by two Steves in a garage. Looking at them back then, no one could have imagined that the company would grow to this scale decades later. Perhaps even the Steves themselves did not expect their company to change the world in such a way.

I believe that, in business, it is extremely important to proceed carefully and steadily, starting with small things without rushing. Especially during this busy season, it is important to return to the basics and remember the attitude of making steady progress without haste. This is also the foundation of the spirit that TOMONO Works values: “Don’t rush, start with small things, and begin with what you can do.”
